Lithuania 2 Euro 2022 - Lithuanian Ethnographic Regions - Suvalkija UNC

The shield depicts an aurochs, with the shield flanked on both sides by silver oak branches with acorns. The branches are joined at the bottom by a silver ribbon bearing the inscription "VIENYBĖ TEŽYDI" (LET UNITY BLOSSOM). The oak branches symbolize the rich history of the region, which dates back to the pagan times of the Lithuanian state. In the past, the aurochs was the most widespread animal in the region. The composition is surrounded by the inscription "LIETUVA" (LITHUANIA) and the year of issue "2022" at the top, and at the bottom by the inscription "Suvalkija" and the mark of the Lithuanian Mint. The outer ring of the coin depicts the 12 stars of the European Union.
