Accessibility statement

Directive (EU) 2019/882 on the accessibility of products and services

Status being confirmed

We are confirming whether the small-enterprise exemption applies to this marketplace. Until that is settled we publish this statement anyway, so that what we have done and what we know is missing is on the record.

What is in place

  • The site can be used entirely with a keyboard, including bidding and checkout.
  • The text can be enlarged up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
  • Pages declare their language, so a screen reader pronounces them correctly.
  • Form fields have labels, and errors are announced and described in text, not by colour alone.
  • The interface is available in more than one language, and listings are translated where the seller has not written in yours.
  • Photographs of lots carry alt text where the seller supplied a description.

Known limitations

  • Photographs supplied by sellers are not always described. Alt text depends on what the seller typed, and we cannot verify every image.
  • Machine-translated listings may be inaccurate in places. The seller's original text is always available alongside the translation.
  • Some older PDF documents — invoices and courier labels — are generated as images of text and may not be fully readable by a screen reader.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site prevents you from doing something, write to [email protected] and describe what you were trying to do. We aim to reply within five working days and, where we can, to provide the information or complete the transaction another way in the meantime.

Enforcement

If our answer does not resolve it, you may complain to the market-surveillance authority designated for accessibility in your country of residence.
