Finland 2 Euro 2026 Raili and Reima Pietilä UNC

The national side of the coin depicts one of the most famous works of Finnish architects Raili and Reima Pietilä – the Dipoli building, which today is part of Aalto University. The building's undulating, organic lines reflect the close connection between construction and the natural environment characteristic of Pietilä's architecture. A stylized tree is also included in the composition. In the upper part, the inscription "RAILI REIMA PIETILÄ" is engraved; on the left are the designation of Finland "FI", the year of issue "2026" and a caduceus – the mark of the Royal Dutch Mint. On the right, the initial "R" of the design's author, Pekka Rytkönen, is also visible. The twelve stars of the European Union are arranged on the outer ring.
