Lithuania 2 Euro 2026 Kaunas UNC

The national side of the coin depicts a stylized panorama of the city of Kaunas, combining architecture from different historical periods. In the foreground is the Church of Vytautas the Great, and behind it the Cathedral Basilica of St. Apostles Peter and Paul, the House of Perkūnas, the Kaunas Town Hall, the towers of the Jesuit Church of St. Francis Xavier, and Kaunas Castle. On the right are represented the symbols of modernism from the provisional capital period – the Central Post Office of Kaunas and the Basilica of the Resurrection of Christ. The design includes the inscriptions "KAUNAS", "LIETUVA", the year "2026", the mark of the Lithuanian Mint, and the artist's initials. The outer ring features the 12 stars of the European Union.
